meet the family
Hi, Im Nikki and this above is my loud, energetic, quirky and completely loveable family. I live in Brisbane Australia with my partner in crime Chris, 7yr old Taleah, 6yr old Emmi-Belle, 3 dogs and 6 chooks. I'm a singer, fashion designer and co-owner of girls clothing label Lacey Lane, boys clothing label My Brother John and kids sportswear label Chasing Oso. I work hard, play hard and love even harder.
Diagnosis Day...
I still remember the look on the receptionists face as I dragged my screaming 2 year old through the door way of the paediatricians clinic, trying to juggle my nappy bag, an empty pram and the child that refused to sit in it. It was the type of look that said "not another one". The type of look that as a mother it makes you want to get all gangster up in her grill asking her things like "what chu looking at, aint you ever seen a tired 2 yr old before?"

Everyday things can be very challenging for Em. She struggles with communication and is very sensitive to sound, light and touch. When it all gets too much for her these sensory issues get worse and more often than not, ends in a full blown melt down.
